TLDR: I loved it, it was laugh out loud funny, it was a little longer than needed.
I can guess what most on the negative opinions will be:
An unnecessary subplot.
A meandering start.
Some performances that are trying a little too hard.
But never mind all that:
I wanted (needed) to laugh and I spent most of the night laughing. The story while following a predictable arc is still engaging in its delivery. Baby Groot is cute and fun as expected but most of the comedy gold goes to Drax.
It definitely feels like it's doing some lifting for other films at times as part of the larger MCU. The first film was so original and unpredictable it was always going to be a case of trying to do the same thing without doing the same thing and it mostly succeeded.
