I really enjoyed it, but I'm not as impressed as you guys.
The characters and cast were terrific! Loved the characters, which are way more interesting than the ones in the prequels. And the acting was great, a vast improvements on the acting in the prequels. So top-marks for characters and acting!
Special effects and pacing are also fantastic, really captured the feel of the originals and looks both beautiful and real, in a way that the prequels failed to do.
Entertainment value - it's gripping, not doubt, really grabs your emotions and holds your attention - it's a combination of the fast paced action and adventure combined with great characters.
Unfortunately, the movie is very disappointing in some critical aspects.
The film itself was more or less a carbon-copy of a 'New Hope', and aspects of the plot made no sense it all. The 'Starkiller Base' is ludicrous - here's a super-weapon that's many many more times than a death-star - a 'killer ray' that can wipe out any planet remotely? Come on! Defies all laws of physics and economics - how on Earth could the First Order have mustered the resources and technology to create this ? Rey being able to wield light-sabers expertly and perform powerful Jedi mind-tricks with no obvious training is totally inconsistent with everything known about the force in the Lucas universe.

Really entertaining and enjoyable, but not a masterpiece. I give it 8/10 (or 4 out of 5 stars).
