In an effort to try and be more active, thought I would start a topic on the new Doctor Who series.

Has anyone else been watching the latest series? I'm really enjoying it, seems a lot better than last season, where half the episodes seemed to be dwelling on the Doctor determining whether he is a good man or not, and people trying to layer guilt on him. And the way he generally treated other people just didn't really marry up with what he was doing, as Vanity Fair said in the below link, 'if there’s one thing that doesn’t work, it’s an alien hero that travels the galaxy saving humanity (and other races) because he hates other people'

This new season seems to have done away with that, let him settle into himself and just concentrate on the stories themselves, and come across a bit more like the 1st Doctor - somewhat grumpy / not a people person, but someone who does still care about people.

I just hope the season continues in this vein, but so far so good!
