Given that I don't care either way, I'm looking at it objectively - the discussion of whether Bond can be black is already out there (fairly widespread), so you're also risking pissing off people who think that it's the actor's ability that matters, not necessarily his color. If people start to feel there is no good reason for him to stay strictly white, they may be equally annoyed.
