Yikes. Some people feel very strongly about it, but it does seem that most are open to it. Personally, I can't see what difference it would make, as long as the actor could handle the Bond persona. * shrug *

The only good point I saw against a black actor is that it might be harder for a black man to spy invisibly in certain geographical locations. Though the same could be said for a white Bond... Maybe it's down to whether the writers could handle the issue, w/o clumsily highlighting it.
