This is not remotely a question of quality comparisons. Even if vampires are more your thing than drug/science/morality tales (which is generally the case with me), Breaking Bad is still miles ahead of True Blood.
One of the better directors on recent seasons of Game of Thrones, Michelle McLaren (she shot Jon climbing the Wall), cut her teeth on Breaking Bad (that view of all the land spread out from the top of the Wall - shots like that are in almost every episode of BB she does, for example).
