I was expecting much tighter continuity. I know the other films have really borked the continuity but thats the beauty of the time travel aspect. Or at least I thought it was.. I fully expected this movie to "fix" Wolverine's claws from the end of The Wolverine, I just didn't expect it to happen in the future, off screen and w/o mention. Must have happened from the end of The Wolverine (where the world still seemed normal) to the roughly 10 or so years later when it was a post apocalyptic wasteland with super sentinels destroying everything..Also it would have been nice to have an explanation on Proff X being alive and looking like himself, something about Magneto and the cure etc. Also what was up with Beast's Hulk power, is that in the comics? I thought once he turned blue he was always blue?
Then in the end, does Wolverine have his adamantium back? I wish they would have shown that. Or even better if it was the real Stryker that rescued him and not Mystique. Hopefully they have an actual plan for all of this but it feels like they are just shooting from the hip like the rest of the movies. I think Disney/Marvel have spoiled me to franchises as the continuity is so much tighter in the MCU and they actually have a plan whereas the xmen movies it seems like they just do whatever they feel like and hand wave it away in the next movie...oh well, like I said, if you don't think of it as part of a larger continuity I liked the movie, but the world building between movies is kinda poor.
