View original postThe Veronica Mars movie! It looks like everyone who survived the show is back. Even Piss, whom she appears to still be dating. WTF was up with that? I thought she was only doing him to spite Logan? No way is he worthy of a woman like Veronica. Oh well. I still would have liked to see the fourth season. Considering how Walton Goggins is knocking it out of the park on Justified, that could have been something really awesome.
I dare say the movie will acknowledge the varying opinions of fans and provide some ammunition for those who still think she should be with Logan, though.
And yeah, a movie is a poor substitute for a fourth season - especially since even the third season was kind of a let-down already, and might have been stronger if they'd known that there would be more seasons later.

True.
View original post*Seriously, what's up with that? It's not like investing, because as far as I know, you don't get any return. Am I a leech benefiting from other people's contributions? No, because I am going to pay my ticket fee like anyone else. The kickstarter people just gave Rob Thomas a bunch of money for nothing, and they are going to pay the same price I as me for a ticket. I'm not saying it's a scam or that they're idiots, because they paid for something that they are getting, I'm just kind of surprised at how well it worked. If they had failed to raise the amount, would the donors get their money back?
You do get some particular rewards for any contribution - whether those rewards are worth the money paid, well, obviously not, most of the money raised has to go to the development of the movie after all. But if they had failed to raise any decent amount, it does seem that the movie would never have been made at all - in today's business climate, the studio wasn't about to fork out much money for it, unless the basic funding was already there from other sources, as well as proof of wide interest for the movie. And the Kickstarter was not only a fundraiser, but also a big advertising campaign - one in which they received money while paying hardly anything.
It's happening. It's really happening. In like two months! For real
