View original postI loved how often the Marvel films from phase 1 were referenced all the way down to Iron Man 3's Extremis. That easily made it feel like one universe, which is vital for this show being more than X-Files With Superheroes. Of course the 45 minutes weren't enough to do everyone justice yet and the ending with the head shot felt a bit off, but overall I really enjoyed it. Felt great to see Coulson back and alive. Very interesting what Hill and Shepherd Book had to say about that, though.
View original postThe head shot stuff kinda worked from a dramatic point of view. It was a call back to the fancy gun Fitz and Simmons were talking about at the beginning of the episode.
Did they somehow set up that a shot to a certain point of the head could prevent the explosion? I may have missed that. So I was like: "Damn, he just shot him. Wait...Why is everyone smiling? Why does no one explain anything??"

Oh was it V? Haha, oh boy. Even I stopped watching that after the first episode. I guess we'll know in a couple of weeks.
