The fact that the woman was swanning around in cocktail dresses and heels on a supposed patrol & maintenance operation was a glaring signal that something was wrong. I also noted at one scene when one of the enemies was on the ground at the base of their apartment, that this visually impressive aerial residence was apparently on stilts, rather than located on some inaccessible height or flying. Their ENTIRE BASE OF OPERATIONS AND RESIDENCE is precariously elevated far beyond necessity, with hostile lifeforms on the ground, and capable of walking right up to the bottom of the legs. If they could take down flying drone do-hickeys and oh, all of human civilization, I would guess that putting a bomb on one of those legs would not be very hard, would it?

Little things like that, sacrificing functionality for visuals, made me aware that there was something wrong going on, or else I was watching a stupid movie. It turned out not to be the latter, but they could have put a little more thought into the look. I don't see why Victoria needed to have bare legs or shoulders all the time to maintain the sterile mechanical look. I imagine it's also problematic trying to shoot her next to Cruise when she's wearing heels. You could tell they were jumping through hoops with Kurylenko, particularly in one long shot where they embraced and you could see that her navel was roughly parallel with his solar plexus.
