Trying to figure out the name of a fantasy series from when I was a kid. PLEASE HELP!!

In the 80's they had this tv show on Nickelodeon, it was on around when they aired "the tomorrow people" on that channel. It was about these people who did magic by dropping stones in water in their mind. I wanna say they were white stones? It is all I can remember and would love to find out the name of the series so I could watch it again. Any help would be HUGE. I know I am not giving you folks much to go on, I am sorry.
