It's just not Bond. It is a superior spy/action movie, but I can get that anywhere. Bond is a genre in itself, and whilst this movie has moments of it, the entire second half was completely unbondlike apart from the flashes to earlier movies.
Start was good, opening credits may have been the best ever - full of symbolism etc, villain was suitably psycho/evil/genius/normal...and then it all just turns into a generic action movie.
Just to be clear, it's a good movie and worth going to see, but it's not what I want from Bond.

Skyfall (very mild spoilers)

94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes so far. Sounds like it's going to be a good one! *NM*

A great spy thriller and in the end a good Bond film after all.

I thought it was good, but not as good as Casino Royale. (spoilers)
