Actually 2. And they've been bothering me. How is that in the city where no one sleeps, the friggin Statue of Liberty wasn't seen by anybody??? Or at least when it took the first few steps and was glimpsed, everybody in the world would have had their eyes fixed on it. Good idea, to make the statue of liberty an angel but it kind of....kills everything about the angels, imo.
I thought the same thing. And not once, but multiple times.
Also, it kind of made me disappointed to see all the angels never really covered their eyes like they have been doing. Most of the angels had their eyes uncovered for a good portion of the episode and that means that any other angel who just happens to walk in their path would be made stone again. Just kind of...irked me.
Yep, that too.
Don't get me wrong, this was a really good episode. But BOY did it have some big holes.
Exactly! Same here. I loved the crap out of it and thought it was a great idea but...so many questions!
The only thing I really disliked was the Statue of Liberty thing. It just seemed so unnecessary and made no sense at all. And then Rory and Amy were totally not looking at it for like five minutes and nothing happened.
Doctor Who is one of those rare shows that more or less gets a free plot hole pass from me. I don't have any answers, and I'm pretty sure Stephen Moffat doesn't have any answers either cause a lot of things just don't make sense and aren't going to make sense. But I thought it was an emotionally fitting end for the Ponds, so I was satisfied. I'm glad Amy and Rory got to be together.
One thing I was kind of dissatisfied with though was some of the Doctor and River's interactions. Why did she get so mad when he healed her wrist? Seemed weird to me. But then, the Doctor acted fairly childish and selfish throughout the whole thing so I guess that whole deal was just a part of it. Hmmm...
Insert theme music here.
