A friend just showed me this article linked below from a German website that warns fans about cuts made from theatrical versions before the DVD or Bluray release.
For those of you who can't read German, let me sum it up:

The Avengers rental version has hit video stores and it seems that Loki's bloody staff does not stick out of Coulson's chest anymore (see pics).
Now some people are apparently getting angry about that because it's censorship and a change of the film, whoever is responsible for it (could be the creators, could be the German release company etc).
What I find more interesting, even though it's basically cheating, is the idea that the creators are maybe trying to make Coulson's death less certain. Rumors aside that he could become the human template for android Vision, maybe Coulson's ultimate fate has not entirely been decided yet, after all.

Or maybe someone just thought a bloody staff wouldn't belong into such a film. Which would be pretty stupid.

Either way, no words on the UK and US versions yet, so let me know what you see and hear, people
