I never thought the midichlorians were a problem Orange Send a noteboard - 29/08/2012 07:59:58 AM
sure, they make some things illogical, like why wouldn't the jedi council demand Palpatine give a midichlorian count when they knew "the dark side surrounds him".

I did not like the prequels because:
1. In my opinion they did not make sense. Meaning they have faults within their own internal logic.
2. Their tone is inconsistent. Like the guys from Red Letter Media said, you can't have a cartoon rabbit that steps on the poopy and decapitations in the same films.
3. The political angle was just boring because it is both simplistic yet inexplicable at the same time. What powers does the senate have ? Why is it so important a delegate from Naboo be there to offer a vote of no confidence ? Especially with thousands of systems. In the actual UN sometimes a country might speak for another, like China and Russia making a case for non intervention in Syria.
4. Some of the major plot obstacles are never explained, except in a childish manner. Why is love forbidden for the Jedi ? Why is love forbidden to Padme when she isn't a queen anymore ? Why did she die, really ?

I just had a thought. We (fans) must suck to creator types. - 28/08/2012 02:28:59 AM 699 Views
