I'm sad to be losing Amy and Rory as well, though. I've liked them both quite a bit, but the name of the game with this show is change, I suppose. Still, by the time they leave Amy will have been a companion longer than any other on the new version of the show so far, with two and a half seasons to Rose Tyler's two seasons.
I'm sure the bit with the Doctor carrying Amy through the destroyed Daleks is a red herring as to how we're going to lose her. From what I've read, she and Rory will have their last bow in a weeping angel episode.
The rumour I heard was a New York episode, and that the Statue of Liberty is an angel.
Re: the Daleks. I guess it was nice to have a couple seasons mostly without them. Two whole seasons without them getting a two-part arc or being the season's endgame villain. It was good times, those seasons. But I know they can't have a 50th anniversary season without Daleks.
Indeed.
