There was just a picture of Hawkeye. It was Swordsman that was mentioned as a bad superhero. He actually basically complimented Hawkeye on his choice of weapon.
I never said bows were evil or lame, they were the dominant weapon of the later middle ages. The Avengers is not set in that period (despite the guy in a suit of armor, guy with a shield and guys with a warhammer), however, it is set in the 21st century. The writer made much hay about swordsman's inferior weaponry, but it was an extension of the same principle by which I reject Hawkeye.
Star Wars is set in a period where ships fly faster than light, lasers are the standard weaponry, and the Force can be used to choke you while you're miles away from the guy choking you. In this setting swords and crossbows are still used. Sure they are laser swords and laser crossbows, but in a setting where shit constantly blows up I'd bet money that Hawkeye has explosive arrows. And as the writer of the article said, it's also a setting where bullets won't hit anywhere but Captain America's shield and Iron Man's armor. So, why not use a bow and arrow? After all, hunters still use bows and arrows instead of guns all the time.
Kirk: Spock, you want to know something? Everybody’s human.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.
Well, I'm not the only one saying Hawkeye is a stupid thing on the Avengers

The fact that he completely left out D-Man invalidates his list.
