Well, I'm not the only one saying Hawkeye is a stupid thing on the Avengers

The below-linked article makes many of the same points I have previously when expressing skepticism over the forthcoming Avengers film (which I am, nonetheless, eagerly anticipating, almost as much as my first opportunity to finally catch the latest Jason Statham release. When you are looking for something to waste $8.50 on, Jason Statham is always a "Safe" choice).
Some people have countered my skepticism by citing the character's long-standing presence in the comic book, leaving me unable to respond, based on a lack of awareness of what he is actually getting up to in said comic book. Now, however, a person who appears to be very familiar with the material due to his column topics on Cracked.com has made the exact same points, strongly suggesting that the comic does NOT, as some on this site and in the real world have implied, refute my issue with the absurdity of a medieval weapon being held as an equivalent power to Odin's DNA.
I will say it again - In order to fight along side and be a contributing teammate and partner to a bunch of superhumans and sci-fi tech armaments, Hawkeye has chosen to equip himself in a way that not only makes him the most poorly armed Avenger, but one of Jeremy Renner's poorest-armed characters! The man usually carries firearms and/or has martial arts skills or vampire powers. Even in Mission Impossible, his supposed desk-weenie character was revealed to be a slumming field operative. Jeremy Renner's characters from "The Unusuals," "Angel," "SWAT," "The Hurt Locker," "Mission Impossible," "The Town," "28 Weeks Later" and possibly even his titular role in "Dahmer" are all mightier than the one who is supposed one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The fact that he completely left out D-Man invalidates his list.
