Only to end up slightly deflated due to unreasonable expectations.
I wanted to stay reasonable, got worried about disappointment and still expected a lot at the same time. And now I am happy they delivered on every front as far as I am concerned.
I'm also wary of the constant drip feeding of scenes and images online as I don't want to see too much beforehand.
I thankfully avoided all spoilers and anything beyond the rather general pictures and scenes. The trailer doesn't really tell you much about the film.
A good review and it's nice to see that the dialogue was good enough that you weren't just watching for the action sequences. I just read the Empire review and it was pretty glowing also.
Great review and pretty much spot-on.
I do have one question. Was there a post credits scene?
There is one. It's mostly fun for fans of the comics. I'd call it mid-credits. After a really beautifully done credits sequence including the actors etc. but before the regular rolling font type. After that there was nothing, we felt so robbed.
