Do you enjoy watching foreign movies? Animated or live-action?

For me, a foreign film is non-American. I really don't like animation, so it's live-action all the way.

What are your all time favorites?

I love Peter Greenaway's work, The Cook, the Theif, His Wife and Her Lover, A Zed and Two Naughts, Drowning By Numbers, etc.

City of Lost Children (La cité des enfants perdus) is one of my all time favorites.

The Host (Gwoemul) was an awesome Korean film.

Tetsuo the Iron Man (Japan)...well, it was fun!

As with others, I loved Pan's Labyrinth. I also enjoyed the Devil's Backbone.

I like cheesy Japanese horror movies.

I know I'll remember more as soon as I hit the submit button!

Which cultures (nations) films do you find yourself most interested in?

I don't have a preference.

Do you prefer dubs over original language, in live-action and/or animated?

Ack! NO dubs!

How did you find yourself becoming interested in foreign films, (i.e. Audrey Tautou obsession, Asian horror obsession, general interest in foreign culture)?

I used to date a guy who got me into foreign films. I still thank him!

What 'hyped' foreign film has let you down upon viewing it (if any)?

Can't think of any off the top of my head...

How do you feel about remakes, are there any that have been pulled off successfully?

In general, I hate remakes. I'd rather watch the original.

I guess I can understand remaking a movie from another country...making it more likely to be seen by the masses.

See...even your question illustrates the lack of need for remakes. If it's uncommon for a remake to match the original, why bother?

If I find a movie I've enjoyed is actually a remake, I'll try to find the original...expecting to like it even more!

Remember I was always true...Remember that I always tried
Remember I loved only you...Remember me and smile...
For it's better to forget
Than to remember me
And cry
