Just came from the theater, loved every minute of it.

Granted, it was a little long. It helped that we were late and missed the previews. I get that the framing story wanted to establish that he was a skilled soldier who didn't want to fight other people's wars, but it was too long. The bit with him being arrested, and the apaches should have been much shorter, if not cut altogether. But this small quibble aside - amazing movie! So few quality true fantasy movies, this one is a gem. Gorgeous landscapes, exciting, funny throughout. It's a must see for any fan of fantasy. I'll do my best to drag my father out to the theater. In conclusion, even better than I expected.

Good flick. Also, featuring 3 or 4 actors from Rome, reprising their types
