I don't have a problem with much of what you said, DomA, but I don't understand how you got that the show was xenophobic. If every terrorist on the show was an Arab or a Russian I could understand that, but the show consistently showed not only people foreign to the US as terrorists, but also citizens of the country. There were black terrorists, white terrorists, Middle Eastern terrorists, Russian terrorists, terrorists from all over the world. How does that show that the show was terribly xenophobic?

IIRC the torture used on 24 was almost always the type to locate an imminent threat, NOT prosecution
