The Descent was the only recent film I can think of that really scared me. Most new horror movies rely to much on being disgusting which isn't really what I find scary.
What's it about? I'm not looking it up!
It's about a group of girl friends who decide to take a hiking trip down a cave system in the mountains. One lost her child a few months ago and there are tensions. But those aren't the only problems down there with them. Brilliant film.
Set in Scotland too, which means the possibility of Glaswegians, making it more scary.
Filmed there, yes, but as a stand in for the Appalachians.

So, inspired by a chat conversation: what movie scared you the most?

Ah. I think I conflated it with the one Stephen posted about. Pregnancy brain strikes again! *NM*

Exactly. And then it will turn into "motherhood brain" and I'll have an excuse forever more. *NM*

YES! The only reason I stayed until the end of the movie was that I needed to know that it ends... *NM*
