I don't know how many people will share this sentiment - or openly admit to it, at least - but I must say I'm sorely tempted to go watch Breaking Dawn, Part One. Anyone who's seen it and wants to review it?
To clarify, I'm a tepid Twilight fan at best, and haven't bothered with the previous movie (I saw the first one for sure, can't actually recall if I've seen the second or not, which kind of says a lot by itself), but as those who have read the books will testify, the first half of Breaking Dawn was as hilariously entertaining as the second was dull and anticlimactic (see also my review of the series). And perhaps it's the contrary anti-bandwagon spirit in me, but Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been growing on me lately - for that matter, I don't think anyone's ever denied that Stewart has displayed some fine acting skills, in her other movies at least.
And then there was the rather favorable New York Times review. So I'm inclining towards a yes at the moment, unless somebody can convince me it's really not worth my time and money.
Oh, and while we're at it, might as well add the opinion piece Rebekah just linked to on Twitter as well, in which Erika Christakis explains why Twilight-haters are just misogynists who deny women the right to turn their fantasies into movies as men have done for generations. Or something.

What? She's a piece of cardboard, and I've never seen her be anything but.
