No sooner is it resolved than it starts all over again. Especially the Bates/Anna storylines. But also the Mary/Matthew one. Very soapy. It has so much potential. It is very annoying.
The Brason/ Whatevertheyoungestdaughteriscalled storyline that has just dragged on and on in the background for too long until something actually happened in it.
The worst one for me was the fake heir storyline, which wasn't very good and seemed to be rushed in and out in less than one episode, then forgotten about.
Yes. It was an absolutely unnecessary complication which had nothing to do with anything. Of course, if it had been properly soapy, they would have dragged that out for a whole season, which would have been even worse; but the shortness of it did emphasise how useless it was.
