I dunno, I gotta say the only place I hear the complaining about glasses, headaches and all that jazz is the internet. No one I talked to about this in real life complains about it and each 3D movie I went to see so far was pretty much sold out. (Internet)-People make way too big a deal out of it. Sometimes I can't even tell if I saw a movie in 3D or not months later, that's how natural the glasses and the look feel for me already.
That's all I've heard from people that I know personally that have gone to see 3D movies. The damn glasses. I was skeptical it first, but after seeing a few movies in 3D I agree completely (obviously). I'll just chalk it up to different people being able to enjoy different things than I enjoy. I STILL wish that I had seen Avatar in 2D since I'm certain the crappy (IMO) 3D made me hate it even more.
People should have the alternative, of course. At least in the cases of crappy post-production transfer to 3D.
It's just a messed up marketing scheme by the local theaters to get more money I'm sure. Can't say I blame them either if they have to pay a significant amount more for the 3D versions, and I'm sure they do.
