It's about 8 or 9 episodes in at the moment in the UK (airing on Freeview channel BBC-3, buried at 10.30 at night, as the BBC like to do with any show that might actually be good) and it's pretty funny. What I like about it is that they seem very much aware of the limitations of the format, so have changed things around and adopted different tones and ideas to try to stay fresh. I'm not sure how long they can keep doing that, but it seems to be working so far.

I also really like the geek references. Wilfred quoting DUNE in the first episode and later Wilfred praising Ryan's ability to watch a whole season of THE WIRE in one sitting are particularly amusing.

A potential weakness is that the episode with Ryan's mum and the nursing home and her cat seems to have basically resolved the mystery of what's going on very early in the show. Could be a red herring, but it's odd that they'd tip their hand that early, unless they are only thinking of this as running for 2-3 seasons.
