I was afraid Rory would be another Micky. Micky was so awkward, and I didn't really connect with his character, beyond feeling sorry for him. After all, the Doctor stole her away even though he himself had no real intention of staying with her. I know the Doctor didn't see it that way, and it's not really his fault she fell for him, but it still made him sort of a jerk.

But Rory was fantastic, and a total badass, and his devotion to Amy wins out every time. He's great.

I wonder if the question is about who the Doctor is, or if it's a different sort of question. He might have been saying, "Doctor ... who?" As in, Doctor, who did you see? Who was it? Who did it? Etc. But it was certainly implied that it might be, Doctor, who are you? Which would be a great question for the 50th anniversary.
