I certainly was entertained. The only thing I am left really confused about was the timelines with the Ponds. At the end Amy tells River that she just watched the Doctor die ... is she referring to the alternate universe or the scene on the beach? Because presumably this is the Amy from after the Doctor dropped her off at the end of Closing Time. And why can they all remember what happened - will everyone else remember too? It just wasn't explained very well. Idk. Sometimes the parallels with the "The Big Bang" felt a little too strong (alternate universe that is collapsing, the Doctor needs to die/disappear for it to fix itself), but it worked out well in the end.
I still love the Silence, and Madam Kevorian's line about flirting was priceless. I loved her interaction with Amy at the end too - very nice from Ms. Pond. Also Rory is a BAMF, I love him. I really enjoyed the cheekiness of the Doctor's escape plan. It was quite refreshing given the general moroseness of the preceding episodes and the ending of previous seasons. It was nice for them to talk about how much people do care about the Doctor - it made a nice contrast with the themes from earlier this season about how he's dangerous to the people around him, blah blah blah. I liked that the Doctor is going back to flying under the radar. It's a nice way to tie up the themes of the previous two seasons. A full arc.
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I am happy with it. While I was watching I sometimes felt a bit underwhelmed, but I did enjoy it very much. It didn't have that giant sweeping "epic" feel that I think we have come to expect from a season finale, but it was still good.
And River and the Doctor are officially married. How about that, eh? I liked the way Moff played with people's expectations that he told her his name. We all know she knows it because of "Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead," but then that wasn't it. What a tease. But I suppose it will become an important plot point if the Ultimate Question really is "Doctor Who?" Interesting interesting ...

Never much cared for Netflix ... I prefer the tangible copy of the full season DVD.
