Thoughts?
I generally like it that the show isn't terribly different from the books, but did Alcide really have to abjure Debbie? It was ridiculous. So what if Debbie slept with Marcus, everyone could see that Alcide and Debbie's relationship was falling apart. Or was Alcide angry that Debbie was siding with their packmaster? You know, the man they're supposed to follow? Bleah, unlike the books, the show offered absolutely no reason why Alcide would be forced to ritually cast off Debbie. A simple "I'm leaving you" would have been far more appropriate. Debbie had no idea what Marcus had done to Tommy or that he had kidnapped his daughter. If Debbie goes after Sookie, I'm blaming Alcide. After all, what has Debbie got left? If Alcide becomes the packmaster after killing the previous one, she won't even have a pack anymore and that's what's most important to her.
I was wondering why Alcide even had to but into Sam's affairs, but I guess I'm glad he did..Still, it was a dull plot, predictable to the end.
Poor Lafayette, it sucks being a medium. Surely there's a way to keep the spirits away somehow?
And poor Andy. Or lucky Andy, if you will. I guess he's now a well-regarded slave to Maurella, or some such. He just hasn't got it yet that the beautiful magical woman might not have only been looking for a quickie in the forest.
Why can't any of the main vampires be expendable? I don't care if a few grunts are lost, I want to see Pam or Jessica die! Or Bill and Eric, but after that there wouldn't be much of a show left.
What will Marnie's spirit do now? Go after Bill, I suppose, but what can she do? All the necromancing came from Antonia and now she's gone and the coven is surely gone too, so..will she make a last desperate attempt?
