Totally agree with you about Crystal and Hotshot. They've mined all they can out of that storyline (and with Tommy, you're right there too) so I'm wondering how they'll resolve those plot strands. Even having read the books doesn't mean you know how they'll take the story in the tv show, so I'm not going to guess. They do seem to be winding those threads up though.

Also, Hoyt and Jessica need to not break up, I love them. The series seems desperate to ruin their relationship which is sad.

Personally, the more Eric, the happier I am. Cannot complain.
