But using his own standard, his entire life.
I mean, what did he do during his first 2% of his lifetime? Nothing except eat, sleep, cry and shit, and probably be cute. Man, if that's all he does, why should anyone bother getting to know him?
He is the one saying that 2% of the whole is enough to tell if it is worthwhile, not me. I'm just applying his own standard to him.

Since you watched 15 minutes of the first episode only, wouldn't you have to limit your judgement to those 15 minutes? I don't recall what happened there, but I doubt it was the high point of the season.
Admittedly, I started reading the book afterwards. I think that it's the better order, as I can imagine being somewhat bothered at times with the different choices made for the show. At least, it would be apparent to me and take me out of the show, to contemplate why such a decision was made. Now it happened to me the other way around, which is easier to deal with when you are reading a book.
Also, I agree with the choices.
Anyway, it appears that you jumped to conclusions relatively quickly, which probably invalidates your opinion for a lot of people.

Death to the Regressives of the GOP and the TeaParty. No mercy for Conservatives. Burn them all at the stake for the hateful satanists they are.

As a reader of the books, I think HBO series is good, but not great.

It's like a different interpretation. Why watch the Disney cartoons, when you know those stories?
