I realized in book one that Daenerys was the hero, and the protagonist, not the Stark family. If it isn't her story, then why the hell is she in it? She is the only person who isn't right there at Winterfell at the start of the books. She is the piece that doesn't fit. If the story isn't going to end up revolving around her, then she is practically just an outrigger novel who was woven into this bigger book.

She's the only one I am betting on living until the end. I figure anyone else could probably go at anytime. Except maybe Bran.
