Book 2 is Tyrion's book so to speak, he is the star of the book and easily has all the best lines.

Book 3 is Jamie's book for he has all the best lines in this one. (He gains a pov.)

If you love Tyrion, then you really are missing so much wonderfulness via waiting for the show to come out, he is so good/nasty/awesome in Book 2.
