Unlike a lot of people, I actually thought the ending did justice to the graphic novel ironclad Send a noteboard - 21/06/2011 08:34:43 AM
So for anyone who's read the graphic novel ... is that how the comic ends? The evil plan to bring peace and love to humanity succeeds?

It does. In the graphic novel it's not a huge lightning storm that hits New York but a giant squid that is so surreal that people's heads just explode or something. I was okay with that change. The blame that goes to Dr. Manhattan is handled differently in the comic too. I am sure someone else is gonna remember it more detailed. I didn't think it was such a big deal.
I really love both though and thought the film was fantastic.

I actually ended up watching two deconstructions of the superhero genre in the past two days: Kick-Ass and Watchmen. I thought Kick-Ass was better.

I straight up laughed out loud (and not in a good way) when the first chords of "Hallelujah" started up while they were having sexy times. HILARIOUS.

How mature of you :P

I never understoof the mentality of "I don't need to see it, the original was good enough" - 22/06/2011 01:23:36 AM 773 Views

In the comic, there's a tiny hint that not everything will neccessarily go to plan. - 22/06/2011 04:56:53 AM 740 Views
