I didn't catch the Swedish Millennium trilogy until early this year and I gotta say especially the first part belonged to the best thrillers ever made in Europe. Of course that's a good reason to frown on the idea of a US remake so soon after.
Then again it is directed by David Fincher, a man who's unable to deliver a less than outstanding film. The trailer looks very close to the original (which again raises the question: why do it, then?), but it's also pretty damn well made.
Especially the girl who plays Lisbeth, a newcomer called Rooney Mara who looks like such a good girl on regular pics, has huge shoes to fill, considering Noomi Rapace's tour-de-force performance in the original.
But who am I kidding, I am so seeing this.

I'm not sure I would like it, but I'm not going to be snobby about it.
