I feel that the CGI added to the originals in the nineties was ridiculous enough... then we had to impose Hayden into RotJ... now they need to be in 3D? They're like, 40 years old, just leave 'em be. Couldn't he have just made some kidsy attack of the clone wars 3D series instead? similar to the cartoon network thing, but movie-length epic...? Sounds like a better idea to me.

He has more money than he can ever spend. The only reason he wants to make more is to put it into movie tech. Lucas is a tech geek, who is fascinated by the newest developments, in this case 3D. So he wants to show his films in 3D. Many fans will be happy to see them on the big screen again, maybe for the first time. It's okay not to be entusiastic about this idea, but I always find it silly to think that he does it for the money.
