Just wondering, I haven't read the books yet, but did read the plot summary on wiki (yes, I have no self-control).
When does Ned get executed in the book? As per the wiki summary, there seems to be a lot of stuff/action after his death (war breaks out, Kings are declared, Robb wins a few big battles, Drogo dies, Jon and the Night Watch activities, etc.
So, my question is about pacing. If Ned is executed in E7, is the ending going to be seriously rushed? Three additional episodes doesn't need like enough time to complete the content in the book. I know there are only 10 episodes.
Thoughts?
I learned way too much. Guess I should pay more attention to the spoiler tag.
Kirk: Spock, you want to know something? Everybody’s human.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.

His execution might not be the climax of the episode.

You can make the first 3 books into a very satisfying series.....3 seasons or so.

If WoT was to be done at all, it could probably be crunched down to shorter than 14 seasons

If WOT became a TV series, I have to imagine that most secondary characters would be cut.
