I wonder how long it is going to take before someone comes here who hasn't read the books, and is upset that you gave that away .
I worry about how they are going to do some of the scenes between sansa and jory later. I mean when he starts beating her up and shows her his fathers head...
It did. Jory was his name. Jaime kills Jory as a lesson in the books...basically a "return Tyrion or there will be more" type of thing. They kind of messed this scene up I think by having Jaime pronounce to have Ned taken alive....I don't recall Jaime ever wanting to take Ned in the books, just to kill his friends as intimidation to return Tyrion.
Indeed. As I noted above, the full-frontal was a bit much. I don't mind sex and nudity in general, just not used to seeing flagpoles outside of porn
It's gonna be a shocker without doubt. But if those people want to be a fan of this show, they're gonna need to get used to some shockers. I think it will only increase interest, along the lines of "are you kidding me? what's next?!?" kind of thing.

The rest was awesome, especially Bronn, the Spider vs. Littlefinger, Robert vs. Cersei and Ned vs. Jaime. I was pretty surprised when Ned's first mate was killed. What was his name? Did that really happen in the book?

I am a little surprised about the amount of sex and nudity in the show. We knew HBO isn't wimpy when it comes to that and that the books are full of it but I'd prefer it if they kept it to scenes where it's absolutely crucial. I don't really want to see Lilly Allen's little...brother.

I now wonder how many people will be so incredibly surprised and put off by Ned's death that they won't continue to watch. I even catch myself thinking "They cast Sean Bean and he is the main character, they won't do it", even though I know bloody well they will. But at least it won't leave viewers indifferent and that's a great thing.
