At the time, I figured "Starship Troopers" would've been a less-well-known reference considering this is a site dedicated largely to books. On second thought, the Dawn of War games are much more recently produced.
I thought ST was a really good book when I first read it 15 years ago, though what I remember of it is more the political ramblings more than the SF-military-action part.
