the season will end with the hatching of the dragons won't Drogo need to die a little earlier to give the story time to show the abandonment of Dany by the horde and her struggles to that point?
I don't remember from the books exactly when she dies.
The khalasar left once Drogo fell from his horse. There's a bit after that of her with him mindless and riding together. The "healing" scene would actually make a good ending for the 9th show, then in the 10th you have Dany learning that she lost her baby and finding out the Drogo has lost his mind. End the show with his pyre and the dragons being born.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
