I can honestly say I've never met a single woman at a book club that has Tolkien or Moore, much less one with such a passion for The Hobbit.
It is about the TV show, not the books.
Yes, this part in particular I find perplexing and perhaps even a little offensive, as a woman. No - no, I actually find it quite offensive. Yup. I'm offended.
the best part of the original review IMHO is this:
