I seem to recall that the there was a high school-version of Shakespeare's Othello (called O, I think), with Julia Stiles as the Desdemona character, which had a delayed release, because the original date was around the time of the Columbine shooting, and the movie featured shooting in a school (I didn't see the movie myself, but I heard about it).
However, it is hard to say about natural disasters. May or may not affect release dates.

Also, I heard that the second "Men In Black" movie had to stop filming while the ending was re-written. Apparently, the original ending took place on one of the Twin Towers.

I think it would be stupid to change anything in any movie because of a real life event.
