I thought that Firth truly deserved Best Actor. I didn't see 127 Hours, so I can't comment on Franco's performance, but I thought Firth was just perfect in The King's Speech, and I also thought it was a more difficult role than Bridges' in True Grit. Both were excellent, of course.
I am kind of tempted to say that The Social Network should have taken Best Picture though. Thematically, I think it was the more complex film.
I'm not a Nine Inch Nails fan, but I thought the Social Network's score was phenomenal. It was emotionally evocative in a way that Inception's really wasn't, as awesome as it was. Like the credits scene of the Social Network, where Zuckerberg's just walking around with that weird music in the background, that was awesome and it was all because of the background music.

Christian Bale for Best Supporting Actor (good choice, Academy)
I haven't seen The Fighter yet, sadly.
The King's Speech (or Inception) for Best Score. My girlfriend is a pianist who writes classical scores, so I might be biased toward a good classical score that features piano...
I wasn't much into the King's music, but I totally loved Inception's score, Dragon's too. But being a Nine Inch Nails fan I was also happy for Trent Reznor.

Insert theme music here.
The two losers of the Oscars: actually just as good! "True Grit" (2010) and "127 Hours"

What about "Inception?" Nolan didn't even get nominated for Best Director & it was a 10-yr project! *NM*

If there was anything Inception definitely deserved to win for, it was effects and cinematography! *NM*

I personally think that Jeff Bridges performance was the best, but okay with Firth or Franco
