I think he underestimates the time in the article, though. Or, rather, he seems to assume that he would spend the time to learn some things perfectly while only learning enough to fool her in others. I am mainly thinking of the fixing the back thing. I felt it made more sense for him to have properly learnt how to be a doctor. And the point that someone made about Heidi 2 in the comments section was very good: no way do you see that again unless a number years have passed since the last time.
