There's more in that show that's unrealistic than just the women.

I'm not sure I think these women are at all realistic, no matter what time period we're watching. I just watched a girl who said she was going to be a nun shed her top in all of five seconds, then wrap her legs around a man in the middle of the woods. I realize they didn't have much to expect out of life w/o a husband, but not a single one of them seems to have any sort of personal conviction.
I think that's so the contrast with Queen Catharina becomes all the clearer.
I suppose I should just shut up and continue watching the porn show?
The show often does seem to be about eye candy more than anything else. But as long as it's got Natalie Dormer, you won't hear me complain overmuch.
No, to be serious, some of the acting - that cardinal, particularly - is rather good, but I agree the whole isn't exactly convincing.
