For those who don't know, the movies department at Marvel has great plans in the works. Iron Man was a runaway success, and already has a very successful sequel out and on DVD. The Hulk, maybe a little less. Nevertheless, Iron Man and The Hulk will be meeting up on the big screen along with Thor and Captain America in The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon and coming out I don't know when.

But before that can happen, the Thor and Captain America movies have to hit theatres. Thor is first up on May 6th, 2011. The point of this post is actually that a new (first?) full-length Thor trailer was released today, which I have linked below.

I think it looks promising. I'm not a comics fan, so I don't really know much about the character other than what I've read on the internet, but I think this looks pretty awesome. I liked the lines about science and magic being the same thing in Asgard, I liked Hopkins as Odin, I like Natalie Portman, I liked the secret agent who was also in Iron Man, I liked the look of the action, I liked the shot of space travel (SPACE IS COOL) I like Kenneth Branagh who is directing, and I like that Chris Helmsworth is really attractive. Should be good, right?
