That may be more of an issue for American audiences.

Yeah, that was one thing that really bothered me. They didn't even bother to die his hair...which seems odd. Honestly, I just don't know if I can shake his roles from lotr and national treasure. He'll just always be a bad guy for me.
Boromir wasn't really a bad guy, just misled by the corruption of the ring. He redeemed himself at the end.
Over here it's not an issue. In the UK Bean is overwhelmingly best-known for his role of Richard Sharpe (the 19th Century's answer to Jack Bauer) in the TV movie adaptations of Bernard Cornwell's novels. There's 16 of them, during which he heroically rides back and forth across Portugal, Spain and France, single-handedly winning the Napoleonic Wars (and afterwards goes off to India and does the same thing there). Seeing him as a bad guy after that is rather unusual

True, but the same point re Ned could have been made in a more ambiguous way. *NM*

Arguably 'Ned is at the centre of the whole series'

True. I think "at the center of the series" would have been a bit more accurate, though. *NM*

How does Dany fit into that center? IMO Robert Baratheon is center for Game of thrones, and SOIAF *NM*

I think he will do a tremendous job, and once we see the whole thing those thoughts will be gone...

Sophie looks breathtaking as Sansa, and I love the passion Emilia showed in her interview.
