I don't think Sean Bean fits Ned very well. I always imagined him more like Clive Owen. And wasn't he described as having black hair? Or dark hair, at the least? It's been a while since I read the series and maybe I'm carrying too many preconceptions about Bean, but I just can't see him playing the morally upright, Ned.
