After the initial wave Japanese horror films, I stopped watching all the remakes of those....
Hollywood always changed the story just a tiny bit and took out the parts of the story that were the most interesting.

Agreed about the Millenium Trilogy. The original is mediocre, and Fincher's will be excellent. *NM*
